Counselling

Lyndsey is a qualified, experienced Counsellor Accredited with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Lyndsey is an integrative counsellor with a person-centred base, providing counselling using talking therapy or creative materials such as sand tray work or art.

Counselling is a way of helping people find a way to resolve difficult problems, a Counsellor is trained to listen and help someone to explore their feelings and situation. Through this process you can be enabled to find solutions to any issues you have.

Counselling can help with Abuse, Anxiety, Asperger Syndrome, Bereavement, Depression, Health related issues, Loss, Trauma, Personal development, Identity issues, Self esteem, Women’s issues, Child related issues, Pregnancy related issues, Relationships, Anger management, Self-Harm, Stress, Sexuality, Sexual Identity, Work related issues and other life events.

Counselling can be delivered either Online or Face to Face

Online Counselling

Lyndsey is qualified and experienced in working online with children, young people and adults. Online Counselling provides the opportunity to explore personal difficulties in a familiar environment. An online meeting is arranged through email using a secure platform and we both connect at a prearranged time. It is important that you have a safe confidential space in which the online meeting can take place.

£40 per 50 minute session online

Face to face Counselling

Meetings by home visit can be arranged to anyone who is local to Stourbridge.

Supervision

Lyndsey is an experienced supervisor who has supported counsellors and other professionals through supervision sessions since 2003. Clinical supervision can be provided to counsellors to explore case work and self development. This can also be used by people in other jobs such a social care, teaching and play therapy where a discussion on client cases and looking after your own wellbeing may be required.

Supervision can either be offered Online or Face to Face

Online Supervision

Online supervision is proving to be an effective way to provide supervision without the need to travel to a location.

£60 per 1 ½ hours online

Face to Face Supervision

Qualified Play Therapist with a Masters in Practice Based Play Therapy

Play Therapy is a way of exploring thoughts , feelings and experiences using creative materials. In this way it is not necessary to verbalise thoughts, feelings and emotions in order to work though issues. Lyndsey has experience in providing Play Therapy online and face to face.

Online Play Therapy

During online sessions the child or young person is provided a confidential space by their parent or carer and a small amount of creative materials. These are used throughout the online Play Therapy. Time within the 50 minutes is often provided to feedback to the parent/carer on progress and supportive ways forward.

Face to Face Play Therapy

If the person is local to Stourbridge home visits may be provided where Lyndsey provides creative materials appropriate to the age and need of the child or young person seeking Play Therapy.

Indian Head Massage

This treatment is also known as champissage is a therapy which has been practiced for over 5000 years. The technique is part of the Ayurveda Medicinal System which takes into account the mind, body and spirit. Lyndsey uses a variety of massage techniques on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face to help relieve tension and promote flexibility and mobility. You can remain fully clothed or remove clothes from your upper back and shoulders. Oils can be applied to the upper back, shoulders and hair which helps to improve the condition of the skin and hair. This treatment can be carried out in a seated position or part seated and part lying down.

Qualified Crystal Therapist

Lyndsey will carry out a consultation to find out about the client, medical history and the reason for requesting a treatment. You will be asked to close your eyes and relax, Lyndsey will then use her expertise to select the relevant treatment for you and apply the crystals. Once this is done the crystals will be left for a short time to allow you to pick up on the crystals healing vibrations and rebalance your energies. Once this is complete the crystals will be removed and you will be given aftercare advice and feedback on the crystals used and why they may have been beneficial. This treatment can help a variety of issues such as emotional issues, stress, anxiety, health concerns, difficulty sleeping or to aid relaxation and general wellbeing.

Qualified Usui Reiki level 2 practitioner

Reiki is a gentle treatment providing relaxation and calm. Lyndsey will begin by carrying out a consultation to find out about the you, such as your medical history and the reason you requested the treatment. You will then be asked to close your eyes and relax. Reiki sends a healing energy to any physical aches and pains you may have as well as supporting emotional difficulties such as improving sleep patterns and reducing stress. Reiki can bring clarity of thought, compliment medical treatment and recovery, strengthen the immune system and release suppressed emotions. Reiki does not claim to heal but encourages your own natural healing responses within your body.

Reiki is not recommended for anyone with a broken bone or if you are in your first trimester of pregnancy.
